Living the Fruit of the Spirit 6

Feb 1, 2026    Pastor Marlon Brown

This sermon explores temperance, or self-control, as one of the fruits of the Spirit that enables believers to develop godly character. Temperance is not optional but a command from God, requiring daily choices to align our spirit, soul, and body with God's Word. While humans have the natural ability to say "no" even before salvation, born-again believers now possess supernatural authority through the Holy Spirit to completely eradicate sinful patterns.

True spiritual maturity comes from renewing the mind with Scripture, allowing the Holy Spirit to help develop restraint over impulses, emotions, and desires, and making consistent daily choices to live holy lives that distinguish believers from the world.
